Visit: Following Threads at the Crawford Gallery

Come with us to explore the potential of weaving and embroidery in contemporary art. This exhibition will feature works by Ailbhe Ní Bhriain, Isabel Nolan, Matt Smith, Ciara O’Connor, Cecilia Danell, Mainie Jellett design by Ceodogàn rugs, Dorothy Cross, Michelle Malone, Jennifer Trouton, Anne Kiely and Mary Palmer. These artists have pushed the boundaries of traditional art and their works touch on themes of labour and reproduction, memory and history.
